Athletic Wear for a Night Out

The previous post about wearing athletic wear during the day. How about on a night out? All I did was throw on a pair of heels to transform the look to day to night.

The Athletic Wear

I've been quite into dressing comfortably lately, and wearing athletic inspired wear out and about. I actually got a gym membership earlier this year and I went once.... to sign up. I'm more of an outdoor activity girl then a running on a treadmill person such as surfing, hiking, biking, or running with my dogs.

Anyways, I wanted to show you how I wear the sporty/athletic wear during the day.
What about you guys? Are you into wearing athletic wear during the day?

At Wango Tango

The past weekend, I went to this music concert that KIIS FM was hosting called Wango Tango. It was hot and windy, so a turban that my friend Aureta made was perfect to keep my hair in place, and gave my outfit a little bit more of an interesting twist.

One of my favorite handbag designers, Monica Botkier from Botkier kindly sent me this bag which is perfect for concerts or any outings as it's small but still spacious! I love the bright pop of red with gold and the little handle on the bag makes it so easy to carry as a clutch!

As a Californian, a great pair of denim shorts is a must in ones wardrobe and these are beyond amazing. The embellishments on these make them look rocker chic, and edgy at the same time.

This wrap blouse from Zara is one of my favorite purchases as of late. It looks a lot like the Helmut Lang blouse I was lusting after but missed out on my size. This shirt is so easy to wear and the v-neck is perfect to layer necklaces in different length.

Also, another favorite of mine are these sandals from Schutz. I think by now you all know my obsession with gold, and it was love at first sight when I saw the gold hardware on these sandals. I like how dressy they look for a pair of sandals thus helping me ditch heels!

I'm so excited to be back in San Francisco this Saturday, May 18th, to host an event at Macy's Union Square from 1pm to 3pm! Hope you can join me there! More details below!

Tapered Boyfriend Jeans

When it's slightly chilly in L.A. and I'm in a rush (which tends to be the usual case. I never have enough time in the mornings to get ready!) I often wear my leather pants and a loose top or shirt like here. Lately, I've replaced my leather pants to boyfriend jeans and have been trying different methods to make them look more polished for work.

I've done it with a blazer before and a kimono but this time, I wore a lightweight and slightly cropped lady like jacket and also layered lots of necklaces to add an interesting touch.
I like pairing sexy and feminine heels to boyfriend jeans to give it a contrast. These Isabel Marant ankle strap heels are one of my favorites. The metallic and strap details on these heels are so killer!

The sequin details and knitted sleeves give this jacket an ethnic feel. It was the right amount of color that my outfit needed.

Layering different length necklaces has been my thing for awhile. Necklaces by Fallon, Jennifer Zeuner, and Alexa Leigh. Bracelets by Lionette and Vita Fede

My favorite part about these boyfriend jeans are the tapered legs. The tapered legs make these jeans more up to date! My jeans came like this but if yours don't and you don't have time to go to the tailor, try safety pinning the back of the jeans and fold them!
